Attempting to fix your own computer can seem like an insurmountable task. With so many books and articles making it seem more complicated than it’s worth, many computer users sink more money than they would like into taking their tower or laptop into a professional shop.
But with this easy-to-read guide, those days will be long gone.
Learn how to properly maintain, repair, and troubleshoot your own computer without ever having to leave your home. Beginning with the basics, systems engineer and computer networking expert Mark S. Wilcox explains everything you need to know to make sure your device is protected, well cared for, and in top working order. This includes chapters like “How Wireless Networking Works,” “Do I Need to Worry About Identity Theft,” and “Backing up Data, Why and How.”
The book includes plenty of step-by-step, hands-on instructions to help you get a better feel for your computer. And if it turns out that a new computer part is necessary, Wilcox provides a rundown of recommended replacement parts and trusted manufacturers to help you feel confident in your selection.
With this comprehensive guidebook in hand, computer maintenance and repair has never been easier!
