The book is filled with cautions and rules about how young people can protect themselves in these uncharted waters and covers the pros and cons of an online relationship. It clearly spells out what is illegal and what to do about cyberstalkers, and gives helpful precautions for face-to-face meetings with individuals met online. The final chapter provides eye-opening descriptions of the problems that may occur. Brooks doesn't discourage meeting people online, but describes the very real dangers that may be associated with it. The formatting and full-color photos make the book appealing to young teens and reluctant readers. However, it is doubtful that they would think to look for something like this before starting an online relationship.
