Everything is Terrible

In his debut printed collection, Alex Vellis explores what it is to love and what it is to hurt. From family to the ghost of past relationships, Alex steers his sonorous verse through an often-visceral account of human experience. "Alexander Vellis makes the epic sound intimate, and searches for beauty in the ugly corners. His work is free verse, hip hop inspired, nuanced spoken word that works as easily on the page as it does in the mouth. A gifted poet." - Joelle Taylor "I enjoy Alex's honest, accessible, and well-written poetry, which is delivered with an authentically friendly stage presence." - Dan Simpson ""Alex's energy for finding poetry in unlikely places keeps my ears on edge." - Emrys Plant
