The Evolutionary Tapestry: Understanding the Threads of Human Instincts and Quirks

We all demonstrate quirky behaviors, some more than others. People may express a range of emotions, thought processes, perceptual experiences, and behaviors. Some of these are common in the population, and some are less common. Some are considered ‘good’ in social parlance, and some are considered abhorrent. One does wonder whether there are some benefits to the person or humanity with the behaviors and experiences that are manifested and are currently considered problematic or abnormal. This book presents a contemplative thought exercise about behavioral expressions or mental experiences that are currently contextually excessive or deviant, might have led to some advantages to humans during the evolutionary course. The book takes up several behavioral and experiential facets and explores in what context they were selected due to their purported benefits.
