Book is tight and square with an owner name on the pastedown endpaper 95% behind the jacket flap. Jacket has rubbing to the spine folds, wear to the edges at the flap folds. Jacket's rear panel has a one inch tear with creases and also a tiny according tear near the center.This is the first English translation of Ewald Tragy, was was published after Rilke's death. This is a narrative with strong autobiographical notes originally written in 1898 and is the "only story reflecting the transition period of his youth in Prague and Munich". Full text presented in both English and German. Presumed first edition, but Vision didn't have a standard first identification method until 1991.
