R220029.The title page states that this work is by 'E.W' which is Edmund Wingate, the English mathematical and legal writer. Wingate was the first to publish on the principle of the slide rule, and was a Member of Parliament during the Interregnum. In a full calf binding. Rebacked, with original boards preserved. Externally, very smart. Light marks to the boards. Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper, 'John Fosters His Book 1739'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. The odd spot to pages. Very Good Indeed.
