Examination Of Sprinkling The Only Mode Of Baptism Made Known In The Scriptures, Etc. By Asbsalom Peters (1849)

""Examination of Sprinkling the Only Mode of Baptism Made Known in the Scriptures, Etc."" is a book written by Josiah Torrey Smith in 1849. The book explores the topic of baptism and argues that sprinkling is the only mode of baptism that is supported by the Scriptures. The author, Asbsalom Peters, presents a thorough examination of the biblical texts related to baptism and provides a detailed analysis of the historical and theological context in which the practice of baptism developed. The book is divided into several chapters, each of which focuses on a specific aspect of the topic. The first chapter provides an overview of the history of baptism and its various modes, while the second chapter delves into the biblical evidence for sprinkling as the only valid mode of baptism. The third chapter examines the theological implications of the practice of sprinkling, and the fourth chapter addresses common objections to the argument for sprinkling.Throughout the book, Smith presents a well-researched and carefully reasoned argument in favor of sprinkling as the only mode of baptism that is supported by the Scriptures. The book is written in a clear and accessible style, making it an ideal resource for anyone interested in the history and theology of baptism. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
