London, 1831-1838. Three volumes, quartos, uniformly bound in half calf over marbled paper. With 221 plates, one folding table and accompanying text in various paginations. First volume published by the author in 1831, second volume printed for the executors of the Late Augustus Pugin, third volume printed for the author Thomas Larkins Walker in multiple parts in 1836-1838. Walker provided text accompaniment to Pugin's illustrations. The third part consists of the following work, all noting that they are part of Pugin's Examples of Gothic Architecture: The History and Antiquities of The Vicars Close, Wells, Somersetshire (1836); The History and Antiquities of the Manor House and Church at Great Chalfield, Wilshire (1837); The History and Antiquities of The Manor House, at South Wraxhall, and The Church of Saint Peter, at Biddestone, Wiltshire (1837). First two volumes foxed and in good condition, third volume showing only light foxing and in very good condition. Remains well preserved and quite attractive. An attractive set.
