The Excavation of a Romano-British Shrine at Orton's Pasture, Rocester, Staffordshire (BAR British)

A report on recent excavations at Orton's Pasture which recorded Roman activity from the late 1st to mid 2nd century AD and which was probably associated with a Roman fort to the north of the site. One enclosure contained possible ritual deposits, including a fragment from an altar, while a small stone building located in another enclosure was identified as a shrine. Includes reports on pottery, vessel glass, small finds and environmental remains.
