How To Excel In Mathematics

ABOUT THE BOOK Mathematics is not only an important subject in itself, but also a foundational building block for advanced subjects like Engineering, Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Accounting and even Biological Sciences. Almost no career path can be accomplished without having an innate understanding of this beautiful subject. A typical approach to Mathematics by majority of students is to memorize all formulae and learn/read through solutions to different kind of problems from their text books. Some take an additional step of solving more practice book questions, while having blinders to use the same unimaginative approach learnt in textbooks. An alternate approach is to grasp only basic concepts and apply ones’ mind to the solved as well as unsolved problems on their own even if it takes time to arrive at the solution. This helps improve the student’s reasoning and logical ability, which in turn helps immensely in competitive examinations and in professional life. This book is based on this alternative approach and covers many unorthodox ideas. It is the Author’s wish that large number of students from all economic spheres benefit from this book and go on to achieve their goal, with or without any external support
