An Exciting Night with Peter: A Jailbreak (Bible Patterns for Young Readers)

Inspired by Bill Martin Jr.’s friendship and writing, Lee Jenkins writes a story of an amazing answer to prayer approximately 10 years after Jesus’ resurrection. In An Exciting Night with Peter: A Jailbreak Dr. Jenkins retells the details inside the prison cell while the Christian community was praying that King Herod would not kill Peter. Jim Chansler’s talent, Biblical understanding and humor are on full display for children.

The Bible Patterns for Young Readers series is unique among Bible stories for children because they are written for children as they begin to read for themselves. After parents, other adults or older children read the books to young children, they will pick up the patterns and read the books themselves.
