The plastic comb binding (often called a spiral binding) is solidly attached to the cloth covered hard covers and the covers are nice and bright. . A few pages are pulled loose from the top or bottom plastic ring but there are 18 rings so the binding is solid. This book has illustrations that can be seen in 3-D if one had the missing Orth-Scope.
