About the Author
Sandra Rief, MA, is a speaker, best-selling author, and educational consultant on effective strategies and interventions for helping students with ADHD and Learning Disabilities achieve school success. She has written several books and presents seminars, workshops and keynotes nationally and internationally on this topic. She received her BA and MA degrees from the University of Illinois in general and special education and has over 23 years teaching experience in public schools. Rief is on the faculty of Seattle Pacific University and California State University East Bay, where she teaches extended and continuing education courses for teachers/educators via distance learning and online. She has been the guest on several radio shows and media interviews speaking on how to help kids with ADHD and LD. She was on the faculty of the National Initiative for Children s Healthcare Quality (NICHQ) and has been involved (past and currently) in other national initiatives for improving the care of children with ADHD. In addition to several popular books, Rief has also written a number of laminated reference guides including, ADHD & LD: Classroom Strategies At Your Fingertips; Dyslexia: Strategies, Supports & Interventions; Executive Function: Practical Applications in the Classroom; and Section 504: Classroom Accommodations, all published by National Professional Resources, Inc./Dude Publishing.
