Exile's Children

When the peace of Morrhyn's people is violated by two young men battling over one woman's affections, it ends a centuries-old injunction against bloodshed. And not even Morrhyn's guiding dreams can counteract the volatile emotions which are sparked in its wake. As clan fights clan, and an unearthly army descends to wreak havoc, only a suspected thief with a talent for True Dreaming may hold the key to the land's salvation.

Two lands and two people, torn by conflict yet inexplicably linked. In the lush valley of Ket-Ta-Witko, the People have lived for generations in harmony, kept from trouble by their Seers' guiding dreams. But not even those talents are proof against the powers of love and love thwarted. When two young men battle for one woman's affection, their heedless actions violate a centuries-old injunction against bloodshed, bringing war to the once peaceful land. Now the People are beset by a race of implacable soldiers led by a deathless warrior, intent on destroying everything they hold dear. Meanwhile, in the harsh and dismal prison colony of Salvation, three refugees - a tavern girl, a gambler, and a young boy with the forbidden talent for True Dreaming - may hold the sole key to the People's redemption. Unjustly accused and bound into a lifetime of servitude, they gamble their future on young Davyd's dreams, hatching a desperate plot that will lead them through a dangerous wilderness beset by vengeful demons, toward a destiny not even Davyd can comprehend. Individually, they are helpless. Together, they may alter the future forever.
