Exit Row (Facing the Unknown)

Coincidence and confusion. Escape and deceit. And, perhaps, a road to redemption. ON AN OVERNIGHT FLIGHT TO ENGLAND: September 1991. Eric Bainbridge is traveling to England to save his agency’s account. On the same flight, Zar Drevesnica is carrying his life’s savings to invest in a dubious scheme. Their fates collide when the plane crashes near Gatwick Airport. BACK HOME: Janine Bainbridge’s suburban Springfield morning is shattered when she receives a call from the airline. In a rowhouse in Fishtown, Marija Drevesnica receives the same devastating news. Both of their husbands are listed as unidentified or missing. BEYOND THE EXIT ROW: In the chaos at the crash site, one man remains in his seat, forever silent, as the other limps away, disoriented and confused. Will his path lead to deliverance or desolation?
