Along with Jack Smith, who performing Exotic Landlordism of the World one evening and here stands in as a bridge between New York s 1960s and 1980s avant-gardes, the Exotic Events featured several artists who would go on to become highly emblematic figures of the era: Nan Goldin, Suicide, Gary Indiana, Kenny Scharf, Y Pants, Jim Jarmusch, Charlie Ahearn, Beth B and Scott B, and Kenneth Anger. Colab also organized other screenings that more broadly reflect the political and aesthetic tastes of the milieu: Third World Newsreel, Kenneth Anger, Linton Kewsi Johnson, Jean Genet, and Bill Stephens.
