In good condition. Spine nicely rebacked in buckram. Original spine label and boards remain intact. Light dampness staining to rear board. Toning to edges of original boards. Light wear to extremities. “Fresh” end papers. Interior in very nice condition. Has been nicely preserved and remains bright and clean. Free of known ownership or markings. Binding tight and intact. Please see photos. A scarce defense of the East India Company’s trading monopoly and a history of the company’s development up to 1773 by Sir Robert Grant (1780-1838), son of the chairman of the Company. Grant went on to become a politician and ended his life as Governor of Bombay. He is also remembered as a hymn-writer.
