An Experimental Study of the Mental Processes Involved in Judgment

"An Experimental Study of the Mental Processes Involved in Judgment" is a significant contribution to the field of early 20th-century experimental psychology. Borislav P. Stevanovic presents a rigorous analysis of the cognitive operations that underpin the act of judging, seeking to understand the internal mechanisms that guide human decision-making. By employing empirical observation and psychological testing, the work examines how the mind synthesizes information and arrives at logical conclusions through complex thought sequences.

Stevanovic explores the transition from simple sensory perception to intricate mental evaluation, shedding light on the conscious factors that influence cognitive outcomes. This study serves as a fascinating example of the transition of psychology into a laboratory science, focusing on the precision of mental states and the structural components of belief and conviction. Scholars of the history of psychology and students of cognitive science will find this text invaluable for understanding the historical development of research into human thought and the experimental methods used to map the landscape of the intellect.
