Exploding Tattoo (Paperback)

Paperback. Photographer/painters Ted Meyer and Anna Stump love tattooed bodies. "Exploding Tattoo" is an exciting new art book that catalogs their on-going project, and celebrates men and women with tattoos as the "New Art Collectors," who collect for their bodies rather than their walls. Meyer and Stump choose models with large-scale tattoos of various genres, from traditional to pop-inspired. The tattoo imagery is enlarged and painted on photo-backdrop paper and the model poses in front of the work. Each model inspires and influences how the backdrops are painted, resulting in stunning and colorful portraits. If you love tattoos, this book is one-of-a-kind. Includes an essay on the history of tattooing by Dr. Teri Sowell. This item is printed on demand.
