First published in 1954, this is "a collection of Entirely New Sherlock Holmes stories written by the son of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and that master of detective fiction John Dickson Carr." Per Wikipedia: "The basis of [Adrian's] production was to complete those tales referenced in his father's stories, which his father had never written." (Here's something I find interesting: Wikipedia also states that the dozen stories in the book were evenly divided between those credited to Adrian and Carr together and those credited to Adrian alone, citing the table of contents as the source of this information. However, the Publisher's Note (at least in this printing) contradicts this, crediting two stories as collaborations, two as written "almost entirely" by Carr, two more "almost entirely" by Adrian, and the remaining six "conceived and written" by Adrian after Carr "fell ill." The actual table of contents makes no note of the author(s) of any given story.
