Legal translation is widely recognized as one of the most complex areas of translation practice, requiring expertise in language, law, and cultural context. Unlike general translation, legal translation involves transferring concepts between different legal systems, where terms, procedures, and interpretations may not have direct equivalents across jurisdictions. As globalization continues to expand international trade, cross-border litigation, migration, and human rights initiatives, the need for accurate and reliable legal translation has become increasingly important. At the same time, legal language remains difficult to navigate due to its specialized terminology, technical precision, complex structures, and significant legal consequences. These challenges have created growing interest in developing more effective approaches, tools, and frameworks for ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency in legal translation across diverse legal and linguistic environments. Exploring Complexity in Legal Translation and Discourse Analysis dissects the multifaceted nature of legal texts through the lens of discourse analysis. Dr. Mansour Amini is an interdisciplinary researcher and a senior lecturer from the School of Languages, Literacies and Translation, Universiti Sains Malaysia. His academic qualifications are as follows: Diploma (Mathematics and Physics), Bachelor of Arts (English Language and Literature), Master of Arts (English Language Teaching), Doctor of Philosophy (Translation Studies). Formerly, he served as Head of Research and Postgraduate Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences and Liberal Arts, UCSI University, Malaysia. He has published on translation, education, the humanities and social sciences, and is the principal investigator of several research projects. He has conducted workshops, seminars, and talks on thesis writing and research methodology in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Iran, and China. Dr. Amini is a reviewer, editing manager, and editorial board member of various academic journals. He has tried to link research with teaching practices by applying the lessons learned from authentic research outputs into teaching scenarios.

Associate Professor Dr Wu Shuangjiao has a Phd in Translation. She has published several academic articles in different areas of Translation Studies.
