Complete set of the 1989 section-sewn cloth-bound printing (we heard in the past that unlike this and the 2006 printing, a more recent printing from the same publisher had a potentially less durable binding). This set has some dampstaining to the outside of the boards (but with little smell), some bumped corners of boards, and some browning and foxing mainly to the top edges. The volumes have been reproduced (and almost certainly reduced in page size) from the 1809 Matthews and Leigh edition, and the print in the resulting books is fairly small but mostly clear, but in a small minority of pages there is a little damage to the type or its reproduction - but it can still be read or deduced. However it is a vast work (typically 800 double-column pages in each volume) so the likelihood of it being reset in a modern typeface seems small, at least without the aid of artificial intelligence.
