In celebration of Outside 's 15th anniversary, the magazine's editors have selected 100 dazzling images that originally appeared in "Exposure," a regular feature showcasing notable photographs taken outdoors. Collected here in a companion volume to an exhibit that will tour American national parks and resort centers, the four-color pictures range in subject from landscapes to underwater scenes, from high-risk sports to animal portraits. The impressive roster of contributors includes such professional photographers as Galen Rowell, Paul Chesley, Kathleen Morris Cook and Robert Ketchum, as well as amateur sports enthusiasts, nature lovers and adventurers. An appendix provides background on the photographers and notes about the types of cameras used, exposure settings and other technical information to explain how these exceptional pictures were created.
