This software is an interactive program (languages English/German) for the calculation of more than 25 thermophysical properties of water and steam based on the industrial formulation IAPWS-IF97.
The software allows the calculation of properties at single states for different combinations of input variables. Moreover, properties along isolines can be calculated. This way it is possible to create a user specific personal steam table. In addition, the program allows to calculate up to 33 diagram types for different properties, including the well known h-s, T-s, p-h and p-rho diagrams. All properties in the program can be entered, calculated and displayed in different units (including SI- and US units).
In addition to the interactive program, the CD also contains a Dynamic-Link-Library that offers the same functions like the interactive program. This DLL can be used in Microsoft Excel, but can also be linked to user specific programs (Fortran, C, etc.).
Bei dieser Software handelt es sich um ein interaktives PC-Programm (Sprachen Englisch/Deutsch) zur Berechnung von mehr als 25 thermophysikalischen Eigenschaften von Wasser und Wasserdampf auf der Grundlage der Industrie-Formulation IAPWS-IF97.
Die Software erlaubt die Berechnung von Zustandsgrößen an einzelnen Zustandspunkten für verschiedene Kombinationen von Eingangsgrößen. Weiterhin können Zustandgrößen entlang von Isolinien berechnet werden. Auf diese Weise ist es möglich, eine auf die eigenen Bedürfnisse zugeschnittene Dampftafel zu erstellen. Zusätzlich lassen sich bis zu 33 verschiedene Diagramme unterschiedlicher Zustandsgrößen, einschließlich der bekannten (h,s), (T,s), (p,h) und (p,rho)–Diagramme, erstellen. Alle Zustandsgrößen können in unterschiedlichen Einheiten (u.a. SI- und US Units) eingegeben, berechnet und angezeigt werden.
Zusätzlich zum interaktiven Programm befindet sich auf der CD eine Dynamic-Link-Library, die den vollen Funktionsumfang des Programms enthält. Diese DLL kann in Microsoft Excel oder in benutzerspezifische Programme (Fortran, C, etc.) eingebunden werden.
Wolfgang Wagner is Professor of Thermodynamics at the Ruhr-University Bochum in the position of a chair. His efforts in the scientific working field cover the thermophysical properties of fluids (gases and liquids), in particular the development of multiparameter equations of state and highly-accurate density measurements over large ranges of temperature, pressure, and density. His research works have resulted in more than 150 publications including three books.
Prof. Wagner is an active member of the International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (IAPWS). Under his supervision, the "IAPWS Formulation 1995 for the Thermodynamic Properties of Ordinary Water Substance for General and Scientific Use" (IAPWS-95) and the "IAPWS Industrial Formulation 1997 for the Thermodynamic Properties of Water and Steam" (IAPWS-IF97) were developed.
In 1998 he received the Honorary Fellow Award of IAPWS and in 2003 the Yeram S. Touloukian Award of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for outstanding technical contributions in the field of thermophysical properties.
Urs Overhoff studied Mechanical Engineering with the special subject Energy Technology and Chemical Engineering at the Ruhr-University Bochum. At present he is co-worker of Prof. Wagner at the Chair of Thermodynamics at the Ruhr-University Bochum.
Wolfgang Wagner ist Professor für Thermodynamik an der Fakultät für Maschinenbau der Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Seine Forschungen liegen im Bereich der thermodynamischen Eigenschaften von fluiden Stoffen (Gase und Flüssigkeiten), speziell auf dem Gebiet der Zustandsgleichungen in Referenzqualität und der Präzisions-Dichtemessungen fluider Stoffe über große Bereiche von Temperatur, Druck und Dichte. Die Ergebnisse seiner Forschungsarbeiten sind in mehr als 150 Veröffentlichungen in überwiegend internationalen Zeitschriften und in drei Büchern zusammengefasst.
Prof. Wagner ist aktives Mitglied der International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (IAPWS). Unter seiner Leitung wurden die beiden Standard-Zustandsgleichungen für Wasser, die "IAPWS Formulation 1995 for General and Scientific Use" (IAPWS-95) und die "IAPWS Industrial Formulation 1997 for the Thermodynamic Properties of Water and Steam" (IAPWS-IF97) entwickelt.
Im Jahre 1998 erhielt er den Honorary Fellow Award der IAPWS und in 2003 den Yeram S. Touloukian Award der American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) für hervorragende Forschung auf dem Gebiet der thermophysikalischen Eigenschaften reiner fluider Stoffe und Gemische.
