two volumes complete, in original plain blue-green cloth as issued, paper labels on spines, bindings a bit bumped and worn but sound, page edges untrimmed, fifth edition with additional text, forming volumes 2 and 3 in the Constable's Miscellany series, vol 1 xii, 313pp; vol 2 x, 311pp, extra illustrated title pages, no map (apparently omitted from this economy edition), slight darkening to text blocks, dampstain affecting top inner part of first few leaves of vol 1, other soiling affecting illustrated title page of vol 1, contemporary stamps of Dublin parochial school library on front pastedowns, neat owner inscription on first page of text in each volume. The printer seems to been a little confused at this early stage of the Miscellany series. The end of volume 1 is printed 'end of volume second' (namely, second volume in the series), and the label on volume 2 has 'Hall's Voyages III'. Interesting account, first published in 1824 and added to in subsequent editions. This copy carries an advertisement dated January 1827 for the next volumes in the series. Size: 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
