Large quarto, two parts in one volume. In Good condition. Newly rebound in quarter brown leather with brown cloth boards. Paneled spine with a green label and gilt lettering. Part 1 textblock has a stain along the tail end of the gutter from the front free end page to page 50, archival repair to the tail edge of the engraved plate of Aesop, mild age toning, and minor soiling scattered throughout. Part 2 textblock has severe age toning, and light plus foxing on some pages throughout. Shelved in Room A Oversized. CONTENTS: Part I ([14], 476 pages, including a frontispiece portrait of L'Estrange and full-page engraving of Aesop surrounded by animals from his fables), published in 1704;-- Part II "Fables and Storyes Moralized [.]" ([16], 238, [2] pages, including a title page), published in 1699.
