Each Volume has a Fuul-page Frontis illus opposite an illustrated title page and followed by a Printed title page.
Frontis. of Vol I has an engraved Portrait of Rev. Henry, Illustrated Title Page depicting "Joseph sold by his brothers".
Frontis. of Vol II Illustrated with Moses and The Ten Commandments. Illustrated Title Page depicting "Joseph sold by his brothers".
Frontis. of Vol. III Illustrated with a profile portrait of Our Lord and Title Page Illustrated with The Holy Family.
The Text is arranged in Double Columns with References in the inner margins. Copious Notes at the foot of the pages. Handsome period Brown Full Leather Bindings with bright Gilt Borders. Spines have Gilt Titles on Black Grounds, Gilt Vol. Nos and Decoration. Marbled endpapers and page edges.
11 1/4" Tall.
No inscriptions. Slight age darkening to paper and light foxing (mostly marginal).
A Small piece of Leather is missing from bottom left corner of spine on Vol. 3 (see photo). Also a small split to leather at bottom right edge of spine.
