Sixth edition (as stated upon copyright page; Harper's letter "K-P" letter code which should be indicative for October 1940). x, 222 pages. Hardcover: H 28.5cm x L 21.75cm. Lacks dust jacket. Pale beige boards with some light soiling; bumping and light wear at spine ends and board corners. Text block edges toned with light foxing to top edge. Endpapers lightly toned with a few small stains; past owner's name-address ink stamp on front pastedown with June 1944 ink ownership inscription on front free endpaper; toning at interior leaves' margins but otherwise clean. Binding is firm. Else a very good copy.
