Undated modern reprint of the original 1931 booklet. 62, [1] pages. Staple-bound paperback booklet: H 22.75cm x L 15cm. Cream colored paper covers; front cover colorful illustration of unit insignia credited to LeGrand Capers at bottom right. Interior pages appear to be reproduced via photocopy, i.e. leaves themselves are clean but just that they have grainy reproduction as remnant of lower dpi scanning/copying. Text comprised of excerpts from various sources compiled together to review the First Mississippi Regiment's service beginning with the territorial period, the Mexican War, Civil War, and Spanish-American War with relatively minimal mention of World War I. Booklet was first published in 1931 and imprint of the original publisher is on recto opposite page 62; however this copy's xerographic reproduction seems to hint at being issued circa 2000 only because if it was done later it would have been digitally scanned and printed with a cleaner production value. {MS-Shelf#2}.
