THE FIRST SAINT OMNIBUS

The First Saint Omnibus by Leslie Charteris, published by Hodder & Stoughton, 1939. This is a hardback collection bringing together a number of Saint stories, with a contents list showing individual titles and chapter numbers. The copyright page carries the standard disclaimer that the villains in the book are entirely imaginary, and states "First printed 1939". The cover is cream cloth with the title and author printed in black and red lettering, along with the Saint's stick-figure logo. The spine repeats the title and author and carries the publisher's device and imprint. The text pages are cream-toned and show some light foxing and age spotting consistent with a book of this age. There is visible wear to the cloth covers, with staining and marking to the boards, and the front free endpaper shows some repair with tape at the gutter. Condition graded Good, in keeping with the wear described above.
