2 volumes (facsimile and accompanying essay). Facsimile: maroon suede boards with gilt title and ornament (8.25 x 5 inches), [26] pp. color facsimile reproductions. Text volume: pictorial wrappers (8.25 x 5 inches), 51 pp., together in slicpase. This beautifully illuminated 15th century Latin calendar was given to the Hungarian State in 1926 by New York publisher Gabriel Wells. Both volumes about fine, slipcase worn.

Store description

We had our open bookshop in the town of Sonoma for a total of 17 years, including 9 years at our East Napa St. location, however, as of April 13, 2013 we have closed our doors. Our business is now conducted online, by appointment, and occasionally at antiquarian bookfairs at which we exhibit annually. Chanticleer Books is a sole-proprietorship owned and operated by Steve Blackmer, a full-time bookseller since 1985 and member of the Antiquarian Booksellers¿ Association of America (ABAA) from 1998 to 2026
