Oblong softcover (approx. 10 12" wide by 7 15/16" tall). Black and white photo reproductions, 96 pages. 6 cent U.S. air mail stamp attached to inside cover; also rubber stamped with Air Mail Society Convention information. On the title page is attached a paper label: American Air Mail Society Convention, St. Petersburg, Florida May 14, 15, 16, 1938. Some waviness in bottom margin of pages for first third of book. Also, small abrasions on two facing pages, previously stuck together. Light creasing on covers, and wear on spine. Mapping, Aviation. 102416C.

Established in 1984, Alkahest Bookshop took over the space and stock of the Atheneum Bookstore on Central St. in Evanston, IL. For many years we were a partner in Chicago Rare Book Center, which closed in 2017. We are now on-line, and have a select general stock, with large sections on U.S. history, art, and literature. We are members of the Midwest Antiquarian Booksellers Association (MWABA) and IOBA.

Books may be returned to us for any reason within ten (10) days of receipt, through prior arrangement, and in original condition and packed and shipped securely with insurance at full sale price. Unless books are not as described or were damaged in transit, all return postage/shipping to be paid by buyer.

Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.0 LB. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required.
International priority mail rates are based on the book fitting in a padded priority mail envelope with enough extra room to provide cardboard protection for it. If it doesn't fit, priority mail rates will be higher. Please note, media mail shipments to Hawaii and Alaska may take longer than 30 days.
