A wealth of images of Italian architecture, architectural ornament, fountains, statuary, etc. The previous owner of this book was John Branner Newsom (1897-1988), son of Stanford Geology Professor John F. Newsom. In 1923-24 Newsom, Jr. built a small house in Palo Alto at 758 Everett Avenue. Perhaps some ideas for finishing touches were found in this book! Spine faded, spine label chipped, covers lightly rubbed, previous owner name to front free endpaper, else very good.
