English metal zine with contributions from future Kerrang writers Paul Miller, Lyn Guy, and Allison Joy. This issue features an interview with James Hetfield of Metallica conducted ten days before Cliff Burton's death in a tour bus accident in Sweden. Also includes interviews with Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Nick Bowcott and Steve Grimmett (Grim Reaper), and Tom G. Warrior (Celtic Frost), as well as a gig schedule and concert reports - Motorhead, Anthrax, Saxon, Iron Maiden, etc. Among the album and demo reviews are commentary on Possessed's Beyond the Gates, Candlemass' Epicus Doomicus Metallicus, and Dark Angel's Darkness Descends. Standard A4 format (8 1/4" x 11 3/4"): 26 p. with numerous black-and-white illustrations. Photomechanically reproduced on white stock, with a cream cover sheet printed in black and red. Bound with a staple in the upper left corner. Some mild wear, including a bit of faint creasing; otherwise very good.
