FORMA DESIGN: Twenty Five Years

Giant construction projects designed by large architecture firms capture the public's imagination, but most of America's buildings are designed by small firms. The U.S. Census Bureau 2012 Economic Census counted 20,836 arcitecture firms, of which 13,779 employed one to four people. Consider FORMA DESIGN, a small, Washington, DC-based architecture firm founded in 1994 by Andreas Charalambous, AIA, IIDA. FORMA DESIGN succeeds in creating fresh, innovative and award-winning work in healthcare and residential design for medical and dental practitioners and private homeowners who appreciate the personal attention, professional expertise and direct responsibility a small firm can offer. In a handsome, 144-page survey of the firm's work, FORMA DESIGN, Twenty Five Years, readers will find eye-catching modern healthcare offices and contemporary residences, captured in some 230 color photographs, that demonstrate why clients not only praise the firm, they recommend it to others and retain it for additional projects. Mr. Charalambous and his associates consistently produce environments that project unmistakable appeal and function superbly. The 13 healthcare and 12 residential projects showcased in this book could not have been desigend for anyone but their clients. It's no exaggeration to say readers will be inspired by the vision this exceptional architecture firm is constructing one client at a time.
