Brown cloth with gilt sp. lettering, a few small trivial dents centre front otherwise near fine. vii + 344; prev. owner's sig. to fr. end-paper, tanning to verso rear end-paper, main fault is occ. underlining and neat marginalia, mostly in pencil but some ink, gutter slightly opening after t.p. but this now quite effectively closed with transparent tear repair tape. A very acceptable copy of this important early exposition by the leading U.S. Freudian. 14 cm x 21,5 cm.
