A short collection of 45 sijo--a traditional Korean poetry form--composed in English, in a contemporary style, encompassing contemporary and introspective themes and elements, adhering to syllabic conventions. This chapbook addresses the poetess's reflections upon the aftermath of divorce and internal monologue, and seeks to synthesize traditional poetic structures with novel imagery, motifs and modern approaches to perennial emotional conditions.

About the Author

Tamara K. Walker is an emerging poet and writer of short fiction. Her poems have appeared in various journals both online and in print including Ribbons: Tanka Society of America Journal, Lavender Review, Eucalypt, The Ghazal Page, LYNX: A Journal for Linking Poets, Eastern Structures, Star*Line, indefinite space, Atlas Poetica: A Journal of World Tanka, and the cherita, as well as a number of other publications. Her fiction has been published in The Caf� Irreal, A cappella Zoo, The Conium Review, Melusine, Peculiar Mormyrid and ink&coda, among others. One of her short stories, "Camisole" (The Conium Review, Vol. 4) was a 2015 Pushcart Prize nominee. She resides in Colorado and may be found online at http: //tamarakwalker.weebly.com.
