Fabrication of Extra oral prostheses: Retention methods and recent advances

Maxillofacial prosthetics is a specialized branch of dentistry and facial rehabilitation that focuses on the design, fabrication, and fitting of artificial replacements for structures of the face, head, and neck. These prostheses are tailored to meet the unique needs of patients who have experienced facial deformities, defects, or losses due to various causes such as trauma, surgery, congenital conditions, or disease. Library dissertation, we will explore the various aspects of maxillofacial prosthetics, including its history, applications, materials, fabrication techniques, clinical procedures, challenges, and future directions.
