Facing Challenges Whether You Chose Them Or Not (Paperback)

"Facing Challenges..." gives the reader a well-tested method for building personal success. It combines a method for managing personal emotions with a strategy for building small, easily-attained steps to a selected goal. The primary theme of the book is mental toughness. Mental toughness is viewed as the product of self-reliance, personal responsibility and adaptability in the face of challenges. In order to shorten the duration of a challenge, the reader is provided a method for seeking or creating opportunities that help shorten the path it takes to reach any reasonable goal.

As opposed to credentials using titles or degrees, a person claiming to be an authority on moving through challenges to success has to tell you what he or she has done. Instead of living through one career path all his life, Tom Meylan has completely and successfully retooled himself for three totally different careers, and that doesn't include leaving the farm when he graduated from high school. Where it usually takes people around forty years to accumulate enough wealth to retire, Tom did it in five years. In a time when it took most young scientists five to ten years to write their dissertations in astrophysics, Tom did it in one year. As to titles and degrees, Thomas Meylan is President of Digital Clones, Inc., currently doing business as EvolvingSuccess, a leadership training company, and holds a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Georgia State University. In addition to these accomplishments, Tom has successfully suffered through his share of deep personal tragedies, which eventually come into everyone's life.
