Regina Roper, co-author of Just the Facts began her teaching career 1968 while still a high school student in Michigan. After relocating to California 1975, she completed a performance and theory degree from San Jose State University all the while maintaining a full schedule of students.

In 1979 she became a member of the Music Teachers Association of California and began preparing her students for the annual performance and theory examinations known as "Certificate of Merit". Since that time, she has been involved in the Certificate of Merit program in one way or another: as a former C/M test writer and editor, member of the state C/M council, chairman of the state's largest C/M program, and as a respected C/M adjudicator since 1988. During that span of time, her students have regularly been participating in C/M evaluations, Honors Recitals and Convention Festival programs earning high scores in performance, sight reading and theory.

A Suzuki teacher since 1986, Ms. Roper has extensive hands-on experience in working with young students to nurture their enthusiasm for the study of music theory and piano performance. She brings to Just The Facts her considerable knowledge on this subject.

By keeping alive the spirit of fun --through pedagogically sound game-like activities and puzzles-- students and teachers alike find Just the Facts a refreshingly different and highly-effective series of theory books.

Regina Roper operates a large private studio in San Jose, CA. Visit her website.
