Fading Into Silence

Some stories aren't just written-they are lived. Fading Into Silence: Official Companion Book is an intimate, unfiltered exploration of the raw emotions, real-life experiences, and deeply personal struggles that shaped the novel Fading Into Silence.

In this deeply introspective companion book, Nicholas Michael Matiz unravels the chaos of first love, the suffocating grip of grief, and the haunting echoes of family loyalty gone cold. This book is more than a behind-the-scenes look at a novel. It is an autopsy of love and loss, a confession of pain and longing, and an unflinching testament to the scars we carry. Plus, it includes (exclusive to this paperback edition) entries from Clay's journal, a note from Jace's mother, and a three-chapter excerpt from Matiz's upcoming novel, Out of the Closet; which releases on March 14th, 2025.

When love, family, and identity begin to fade, do you let yourself disappear with them? Or do you walk away and find your own silence?

Nicholas Michael Matiz is a bold voice in the realm of Gay fiction, known for his gritty, raw storytelling that pushes the boundaries and explores the darker sides of human nature.
