About the Authors

Adam Ross was born and raised around Portland, Oregon. He received his Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Marylhurst University and went on to teach for several years before starting First Fantasy Books. Through First Fantasy Books, he continues to seek new ways to teach through playfulness and whimsy, believing that "Everyone belongs in the stories they love."

Kcie Monk is a fantasy illustrator who loves all things magical and whimsical. While always keen to try any medium, she has a love for watercolors, acrylics, inks and digital art. Since "Fae"miliars, Kcie has illustrated multiple other books, and she continues to sell her art at shows around Seattle, Tacoma, and Portland. Her other interests include music and teaching. She has a degree in French Horn Performance. Kcie has also enjoyed teaching Reading and English including two years in Sopporo, Japan as an Assistant Language Teacher.
