Bookfellow edition. Number 80 of 500 copies printed and signed by the author. 58 pages; bound in tan boards with cloth spine. Ivan Swift (1873-1945) was an American artist and poet who lived in Harbor Springs, Michigan and founded an artist's colony known as Chippewa Cove Woods. This collection of poetry was first published in 1909 as his first book of poetry. This second printing contains also an inscription by Swift to the Governor of Michigan, Fred W. Green - "To Governor Fred Green - the conservator. All for Michigan and no ax to grind. Ivan Swift. Hotel Morris, Detroit, Xmas 1926". Green was Governor of Michigan from 1926-30.
