About the Author

Sivadas Raghava is currently the Director and Global Head, Services, RSI Content Solutions Inc., USA. He is an innovative entrepreneur and a business leader with particular strengths in innovation, managing investments, and business development. He has a post graduate degree in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A), and is a serial entrepreneur. He was earlier the Co-founder and Managing Director of Scope e-Knowledge Center, Chennai; a global content provider in the scientific and technical space. Post Scope he has helped in a couple of start-ups besides investing in various entrepreneurial ventures.

Sivadas’ forte includes innovating ideas, nurturing them, and then transforming these into ventures.

He was the chief visionary and architect in Scope, and to a large extent responsible for it becoming one of the largest business-to-business (B2B) content providers in India, and then for its transformation and meteoric growth as a knowledge process outsourcing player in the Publishing and Intellectual Property space. Sivadas has successfully completed three rounds of exits in entrepreneurial ventures, the latest being the sale of Scope to Quatrro.

Sivadas was previously the CEO of e-chem.com (a Sify group company). This was another organization he co-promoted along with the Indian Chemical Manufacturer’s Association (ICMA). Prior to that, he was with the United Breweries (UB) Group and Escorts. He has also been actively interested in academics and been a visiting faculty at a number of institutes including the Academy of Management Excellence (ACME), the British Open University, and IIM Calicut. He was the former Vice-President of ICSTI ( The International Council of Scientific and Technical Information), Paris. Sivadas is also an active contributor to Business Line and is also a Charter Member of TIE, Chennai.
