That's Not Fair

That's Not Fair introduces young readers to the important concept of equity in a clear, relatable, and engaging way. Through the story of two close friends, Jordan and Justin, a classroom activity reveals the difference between equality and equity in action.

As the teacher guides the class, readers see how giving everyone the same resources doesn't always lead to fair outcomes, especially when someone starts at a disadvantage. Instead, the story highlights how providing the right support based on individual needs helps everyone succeed.

With a simple yet powerful message, That's Not Fair helps children understand fairness on a deeper level, encouraging empathy, awareness, and inclusive thinking. The book concludes with a memorable takeaway:

"Equality means we give everyone the exact same resources, whereas equity means giving resources based on the needs of the people receiving them."

Perfect for classrooms, families, and discussions about fairness, this book makes a complex idea easy, and meaningful for young minds.
