Fakecation

After avoiding relationships for five years because her last one ended catastrophically, Amelia doesn’t plan on letting her meddling mom set her up.

But then her mother ups the stakes, and Amelia accidentally insinuates that she’s seeing her coworker, Daniel, a man she’s always been a little attracted to. The only problem? She isn’t seeing Daniel, and he is strictly professional with not only her, but everyone. What’s worse, as much as she’d like to pretend this never happened, she can’t. Her mom already sent him a friend request on social media, planning to invite him on their annual family vacation.

There’s no other choice for her—she has to own up to what she said. She expects Daniel to be annoyed, or to even be angry at what she accidentally blurted out. The last thing she expects is for Daniel to be willing to go on the trip with her, even if it means being her fake boyfriend.

After his wife left him for a member of his family, Daniel needs a vacation, and a way to appear that he’s over his cheating ex.

When Amelia delivers him a solution on a silver platter, he thinks things are looking up. They’ll fake date, and then go their separate ways. But as their vacation goes on, she brings out a side of him he never knew he needed, and he starts to forget that this thing was never real in the first place. He could see this going on forever, if only Amelia would be willing to make things real. But her ex did damage, so much so that Daniel isn’t sure if she’ll ever change her mind, no matter how much he wants her to.
