• The profound lessons he taught about strength, love, and dignity

If you’ve ever loved a dog, this story will stay with you forever.

D. M. Ende is an Australian writer, advocate, and lifelong carer who has devoted her life to uplifting the vulnerable, both human and animal. With a background in disability and aged care and a deep passion for healing through connection, she found her greatest teacher in Falkor. A once abandoned dog with a warrior's spirit, Falkor became her soul companion and inspiration. Through him, she truly discovered the depth of healing a dog can offer. Their bond changed everything. After his passing, Falkors legacy lit a new path, gently guiding her toward assistance dog training, where she now helps others find the same light she once found in him. This memoir is her love letter to Falkor. A celebration of survival, second chances, shared strength, and a bond that continues beyond the visible world. When she's not working with dogs or sharing their stories, she's most often found near the sea, walking the paths Falkor once led.
