An interesting typescript for Ernest Beckett's prospective novel Fall of the Mighty. This is an original author's unpublished typescript complete with pencil edits and changes.Originally titled The Grip of the Gods, but scribbled out and changed to Fall of the Mighty, this is Ernest Beckett's original typescript.The novel centers on The Five Counties Gazette in the seaside town of Downdead and the Editor-in-Chief Charles Stead Brandram.Ernest Beckett had previously written Through the Sheeres: an Excursion in Britain in 1931. In paper wraps. Externally, worn. Ink to the front wrap and fading to the extremities. Spine is worn and torn to the tail. internally, firmly bound with bright clean pages. Author's notes and edits throughout. Very Good.
