Fall of the Western Kings (Tirumfall Trilogy)

Can a lone swordsman defeat a demon? As a commoner, Gant dreamed of becoming a swordsman, but such pursuits were forbidden to those of his station. Still, he couldn't resist practicing in secret with the help of his skilled Uncle Jarlz, a nobleman. One fateful day, Gant's journey home from training is interrupted by a horrifying sight - a nobleman attempting to force himself on a peasant girl. Gant knows he must act, even if it means defying the laws and risking his own future. Branded an outlaw, he flees to a lawless city-state outside the realm of the king. There, Gant must learn to survive in a world filled with dangers he never knew existed. But as the world grows darker, Gant is pulled reluctantly towards a destiny he never wanted. Meanwhile, Barlon Gorth, the despotic Mountain King, is consumed by a thirst for revenge against the western kingdoms. In his quest for power, he summons a demon prince, Varg, to aid him. But once unleashed, demons are nearly impossible to control and only the strongest magic can stop them. Gant may hold the key to neutralizing the demon, but he is unaware of the chaos that is unfolding around him. Enchanted by a beautiful woodland nymph, Gant finds himself sequestered and oblivious to the turmoil brewing in the outside world. Will he find a way to break free from the enchantment and fulfill his destiny? And even if he does, can he defeat a demon? Find out in this thrilling tale of adventure, magic, and destiny.
