Heavy water damage to lower half of rear board. Internally good. Previous owner's name and bookseller's label on front board. Dust-jacket with fading and foxing and some staining. A couple of bookseller's labels over price on dust-jacket spine and front panel. Dust-jacket protected in archival mylar cover.; October 1940 reprint of a title first published in February 1939. 8th impression (second Cheap Edition). 519, [1 (blank)]. 2 full page maps. Blue cloth boards with black lettering on spine. Page dimensions: 217 x 134mm. "The world-famous eye-witness account of the rape of Austria and Czechoslovakia by Hitler" - from front panel of dust-jacket. G. E. R. Gedye was the Daily Telegraph correspondent in Austria and Czechoslovakia. With quotes from reviews on both flaps and on rear panel of dust-jacket.
